Itinerary:

Big Kennesaw from Little Kennesaw

Join me for a moderatley paced hike from the Visitors Center to the top of Big Kennesaw, then down, and then up Little Kennesaw and down to Burnt Hickory Rd.

We will return to Pigeon Hill where we will take the east trail loop back around the mountains to the Visitors Center.

This is not a hike for beginners as it has around 1,000 ft of elevation gain. If you are comfortable with D2 hikes or D3 hikes at parks along the Chattahoochie River, and you want to move up to the next step - training to hike the North Georgia mountains, this may be a good hike for you.

Thias is a good training hike. We complete the hard part 1st and take as much time as needed crossing the mountains. If the pace is slower than normal our route back to the visitors center can be shortened as much as 0.5 miles if needed to complete the hike within 2 hrs 30 mins.

We will meet outside the Visitors Center. Please arrive 10 minutes early for sign in and introductions.

Over then around
