Itinerary:

Think you are tough enough to do some winter camping? Lets find out! Pack that long underwear and join me for some winter primitive camping at beautiful Fort Mountain State Park in Chatsworth, GA.

We'll meet at the carpool early Saturday morning and ride up to the park and setup camp. After a quick lunch, we'll take off to explore the parks natural and made-made wonders and numerous hiking trails. Plan for 5-7 miles of moderate hiking.

Upon returning to camp mid-afternoon, we'll spend some time relaxing and chatting with a nice warm fire and drinks. I will cook up a batch of Foz's 'infamous' chili and fixins for the group.

Sunday morning, pack up and head for home at your leisure.

The campsite is primitive so no water or electricity. It does have an Adirondack shelter and outhouse and is a few hundred feet walk from the parking lot.

Hope you can join me for some winter fun!
