     A Midland Water Snake, Ospreys in flight over their nest, two beaver dams and many, many Great Blue Herons made for an awesome day on the water at Sweetwater Creek State Park.  Thanks to Laura (on her first event) and Charlie for pointing out beaver dams, Yellow Jasmine and so much more.  It was also nice to meet Sam on his first event.  We had a few folks who were new to tandem kayaks or canoes, but by the end of the day, it seemed all were experts!  After the official event, Ash and I put in some extra paddling, exploring and hiking.  What a great day to be outside!
