Write Up:

With all 12 hikers ready, we descended down Beech Bottom Trail to Jacks River Falls. After a quick 4.6 miles, we arrived at the beautiful Jacks River Falls. I was a little worried the water would be too cold for the 85 degree weather but the sun was out so that helped. The group enjoyed swimming, cliff jumping and lunching. Murphy the goldendoodle jumped in the water but Parker the pekingese just dipped his toes. Unfortunately we had a long way to go to get back to Atlanta so after an hour and a half of fun we packed our things and headed back. Too bad there wasn't a swimming hole at the trailhead to cool off at the end of the hike out! Another 4.6 miles ended another great day in the Cohutta wilderness.
