What a beautiful day today was - - and spending it at Amicalola State Park made it an exceptional day. Our group of 10 enjoyed the comfortable pace which enabled us to scale the long hills of the Approach Trail without gasping for air; and the moderate temperatures meant dry shirts throughout the entire hike. Brownies and peach cobbler were available at the Inn, and Sunae shared her Korean sweet potatoes, zucchini patties, and delicious egg salad with all of us. Slushy areas on the trail hinted at the heavy rains that had recently passed through, but those areas were few and far between -- certainly not an obstacle for any in our group. Hiking doesn't get much better! ~ Joyce
