Great Trip. We bagged 8 peaks in two days. First we went to Shinning Rock via Art Loeb trail and returned via Ivestor Gap trail. Along the way, we climbed Black Balsam, and Tennent, Grassy Cove. http://groundedgraphics.com/national-parks/smokys/shinning-rock.php Then we met Tom, Don, Tim and Bud from the Carolina Mountain Club at Waterrock Knob for the four peaks in the area. Really nice guys and strong "mountain" hikers. http://groundedgraphics.com/national-parks/smokys/yellowface.php We invited them to join some of our AOC events and they're going to look into joining us on a future trip.
