Our small group of 5 had a great hike. We hiked 2 miles in to the Conasauga River where we did lunch. We discovered an idea for winter water crossings. Take the heavy duty contractor bags and put each foot in one and then in your shoe. Cut the top so the length is at the top of your leg and tape it. This will get your shoe wet but keep your legs and feet dry. After our 18 river crossings we headed up tearbritches, our 2200' climb and to the waiting car. The hike took approx 5 hrs and was a great day. Pictures here: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=nursekelly23&target=ALBUM&id=5276893985117725649&authkey=llyNfKGkPRw&feat=email
