We had a great time "adventuring" together at such an amazing park on such a gorgeous blue-sky spring day.  It was fun having Sherry and "Evy" with us on their very first AOC event.  Thanks to Alicia for sharing her colorful photos of the hike!  You should be able to view them by clicking the above "Photo Album" icon or this link: https://goo.gl/photos/zkN2e6xief6dyBnF9
We kicked things off at Noon with a picnic lunch on the lakeshore by our cars, then explored a portion of the perimeter of the lake including its "spillway waterfall" and the rugged gorge between there and the creek.  We then caravaned to the Park Visitor Center & Museum and hiked via the rugged main creekbank to the old Civil War textile factory ruins and a half mile beyond it to the huge rapids - then back to the cars via the trail through the forest above the creek - arriving just a few minutes later than our targeted 2:30 PM.
