What an awesome day on the river!  The Tallapoosa River will definitely be added to our rotation of great river paddles.

If you were there, you have met our newest paddler, Tally!

Tally joined the group as we were preparing to launch and begin our paddle.  With no owners anywhere to be found, I decided to bring him along for his first big paddling adventure.  After about 2 miles of nervous whining, he was hooked and became a natural, laying on the stern of my kayak before lunch and then in my lap the rest of the day.

The river brought us turtles, ducks, a snake and otter, and even some cattle.  We had the river pretty much to ourselves and enjoyed every minute!

Thanks to those who joined us, and if you missed it, be on the lookout for this paddle again in the future, along with all the other great paddles that the AOC offers!
