Lake Winfield Scott , Jarrad Gap, AT, Freeman Trail - brief lunch break at top of Blood Mountain and back to our cars via Slaughter Creek Trail. Right around 11 miles for most, quite a bit more for me. Slightly more for Irene, Steve and Aaron. Cold, damp, dark, dreary, rainy, wet, slippery, treacherous, exhausting hike. special thanks to Doug and Irene for your support. Doug knows ALL trails inside and out, up and down, backward and forward probably with his eyes closed too, so glad he joins many of my hikes.
