Write Up:
We had a great group on this pre-Christmas hike. With 10 solid hikers, we enjoyed a good pace through the foggy forest. Not too crowded on the way up the Springer approach trail. The rain held off until we made it to the Hike Inn and we were able to eat our lunches in a dry state. Refreshed , we took a few pictures just before the rain started. It was steady for an hour and then a little windy and colder for a bit. The effect of the rain on the falls was dramatic on the way down. By the time we reached the cars, it had stopped and we were able to changed clothes and ride home in comfort. We were happy to welcome Lee on his first hike with AOC. I also enjoyed meeting Sarah, Papi and Vera. Hope to hike with them again, as well as with Chuck, Ryan, Debbie, Lisa and Cathy. See pics on AOC FB member site. Jenny
