A cold start on our hike this morning but it turned into a beautiful day. We had 2 celebrations- Mike McKenzie celebrated his 200th hike and John Schultz, his 100th hike. Each received a commemorative rock! We had several new folks today so needless to say, we took off towards the bamboo forest. Along the way, the river was sparkling and we spotted a bird house that someone had hung from a branch near the river. We avoided the BAH but still managed to climb over 1000 feet. Wonderful workout, nicely paced and a great group. What a great way to start the weekend!  ~  Carol
