Write Up:
We had 16 hikers to start the event - weather was in full cooperation. Top of falls parking lot was full for the early am.The trail had quite a few runners with also some other unexpected AOC members getting their hike in too. The line broke up into 2 groups - we all collected at Springer Mountain for lunch ( we had it all to ourselves). The vista was clear. Found a small tree on trail with bear claw scratches. We were looking forward to Larry's cooking at the Inn but he had the day off. We finished the hike at the proposed time - early enough to get home for football and yard duties ( mowed the lawn). Plenty of drivers for carpool ( thank you ). Want to welcome Laura H and Raymond S to the club . It was also good to see Lakshman coming back to the club. My best wishes to Nahid on her journey of Prospect on to becoming a TL . Next week Kennesaw Loop no Mountains.
