We had a fun-filled day on the first Park & Play Series adventure!  The weather was nice and there was a lot to see.  We enjoyed our hike through downtown passing several landmarks; The Tabernacle, Woodruff Park, Peachtree Center, the Hard Rock Café, the World of Coca Cola, and the Georgia Aquarium.

Not only were there several great landmarks to see, but there were plenty of Virginia Tech and Alabama football fans and Dragon Con festival attendees to make things really interesting!  Sight-seeing became a whole new adventure on this trip.  We not only passed several people who had dressed up for Dragon Con, but we happened upon where most of the participants had gathered at Suntrust Plaza.  We were able to snap a few shots of the costumed characters before continuing on our way.

After passing a few more historic and new sights, we arrived at Centennial Olympic Park, the location of the 1996 Olympics.  We walked around the perimeter of the park taking in all the sights and locating the perfect spot for the concert.  We enjoyed food and laughter while awaiting Drivin N Cryin to take the stage.  Kenny and the guys played all their best hits as the large concert crowd sang along.  Collective Soul performed next and did not disappoint either.  A lot of their most popular songs were presented along with a couple new songs.  Both bands have new CDs coming out this month.

We couldn't resist taking on one more adventure as the night was still young, so we headed up to a local comedy club.  More food, laughter, and of course good company was a great way to wrap up an eventful day.
