Write Up:Thanks everyone for volunteering to help out for Rivers Alive at JJ Biello Park in Woodstock. I'm really proud that the Atlanta Outdoor Club could volunteer for this event. I'm also really thankful that you guys/gals came out to volunteer. Woodstock is my hometown, so it really felt good know we were able to make a difference near and around Little River, which flows directly into Lake Allatoona. We also had fun! I know I did even despite getting sloshy muck all over my pants leg from that tire I rolled down the road.. Yuck!
Oh and I also received an email from one of the gals (Lori) who organized this event. She said they estimated 126 bags of trash and all of it weighing over 890 lbs!!! That's an amazing effort with the 3 different groups they had there.
