What an awesome trip!!!!

We set out on the trail around 11:30 and arrived in camp about 2.5 hours later, taking our time on such an easy trail.

At 2:30 part of the group took off to see Big Bend Falls and part stayed behind to fish and hang out. Chattooga is famous for its trout fishing, so we thought we'd take a stab at it. Minus the 20 lb rainbow trout EB wrestled and Denise M. finally speared to subdue, and the black-tipped shark, we were unsuccessful in our Backcountry Fresh Dinner attempts. In the meantime, the waterfalls group got separated, so only a couple of people got to see it while the rest of the group retraced steps to camp. (So, obviously, we need to go back soon :-)

Overall, the weather couldn't have been more perfect and the group more awesome. We shared some great laughs around the campfire, made new friends, sang a couple of songs, and slept pretty peacefully through the cold night.

In the morning, we had a quick hike back to the cars and a pitstop in Clayton for lunch before heading the rest of the way home.

Flora and Fauna to note: Rainbow trout, black-tipped shark, and some daddy long legs. Also, a llama on our way in.

Injuries to note: Two folks fell on their knees en route, but ibuprofren seemed to do the trick.
