Write Up:
It was a cold day, with a bit of sleet and snow later in the hike.  Foster Falls was flowing good after lots of rain overnight and early morning.  We started by doing the "climbers loop" CCW from the falls, then doubling back on the fiery Gizzard trail.  Several really nice views from top of smaller waterfalls in the first couple miles.  One steep down and up through a small gorge, then the mid part of the trail is basically flat on top of the plateau.  The last 5 miles the trail descends steeply on a rough rocky trail to the river.  The trail follows the river upstream and is VERY rocky.  There was a layer of snow on the rocks making it more tricky.  By the end we were only 15-20 minutes short of catching up with the 10 mile loop Grundy Forest hikers.

This would be a nice hike to do again when warmer, and stop to cool off in the river and falls.  I would do the point to point hike in the other direction, starting at Grundy and finishing up at Foster Falls.  Finishing up the 14mi hike on the rocky section of the trail was a bit tiring.
