Write Up:
We all met at the park and ride at 7:30 AM. It was cool when we meet, but it did not take long for the weather to warm up. By the time we got to the trailhead it was quite comfortable ( great weather for hiking ). We got started about 9:15 AM. The trail offers quite a few up and downs. We stopped at an overview and the valley was something to see. After the spectacular view we hiked for about an hour and then had lunch.The spot we picked was perfect. We had a good view of the valley below and there were several boulders to sit on. We crossed several creeks that are usually dry but we could hop a cross on the rocks. The larger streams and water falls were nice. We got to the last overview and finished the hike about 2:15 PM. Since we finished early we all agreed to go check out the ancient wall and tower. Then we went to see the overview. On that side of the mountain there was a haze and the view was not that good. We finished there in about an hour and then started back to Atlanta. Everyone seem to enjoy the hike and we had perfect weather.If you missed this one there will be more. See you on the trail soon.
