We were all glad we got an early start because the sun was up high along with temperature when we finished. Along the way we saw three other AOC members. We also spied a snake - I think a copperhead - along the side of the trail that connects Mason Mill and Lullwater (special thanks to Tonya who did an excellent job of alerting us to its presence). Special ackowledgement to Ja'net on her 2nd AOC hike, Vesu on his 6th, and Page on her 5th. They along with our veteran AOCers were an outstanding group of hikers who maintained a pace a whisker shy of 3 mph and stayed together for the whole hike.
