Today a group of twelve hikers with great chemistry hiked to Blood Mountain from Lake Winfield Scott, up the Jarrard Gap trail to the AT, then to the summit and shelter on Blood Mountain. We enjoyed great views and intermittent sun while we had our lunch above the shelter. Afterwards we returned down the AT to Slaughter Creek Trail, which we followed back to Winfield Scott. We had great weather the whole day! And great conversation along the way. It's what AOC does best: connect people with each other outdoors!
