Hips don’t lie, neither does Garmin, this is a solid D6.

The west to east direction (country store to tower) on Pine Mountain Trail is almost 24 miles, 4300ft elevation gain.
The trail is basically LOTS of rolling hills, evident by this map profile.

We passed by 2-3 “quick to pass” rocky sections, and the trail gets wet and muddy in the last 3 miles, which is the closest to the tower. But no wet feet thanks to bog bridges and bridged creek crossings despite lots of rain last night.
This is a well maintained trail, and clearly with lots of care (check out the pics of smily faces carved on fallen trees).
Thanks Ayo, Irina, and Daniel for contributing to the photos, special thanks to our road warriors Maurici and Linda.
A perfect start of the year,
Deema and Linda
