We left the parking lot and made our way from Lake Winfield Scott to the A.T. under blue skies, frigid temperatures - and all was reasonably well.  If you dress properly, you can do almost any hike.  We hit the winds as we connected to the A.T. and I seriously had doubts whether we should proceed, but the group was ready to continue - not excited, not reluctant - but with more of a - we can do it and it might get better.  Get better it did, to the point of pure happiness - yes, I am serious....these people had 'game on'.  A lovely reading by Jay at Preaches Rock, laying in the sun, enjoying lunch, just absolutely sealed the deal.  Well done my frigid friends.  12.2 miles 2.6mph nearly 2500 feet.  Let's go home and have some soup!!!
