We had a great hike on the Jack's Knob trail to Brasstown Bald.  Total miles 7.8, elevation gain 2,751. Trail is a steady uphill on packed soil with not too many rocks or roots.  Weather was nice on the bald with sunny skies and no wind.  We shared the trail with the 29,029 Everest hikers.  Perfect day!
