A nice hike this morning at Island Ford. Since it was not our normal (faster) Thursday hike, we started at the Island Ferry parking lot and hiked to the Visitor Center and around the new trails.

It was a typically warm, humid morning, but we kept the pace moderate and everyone kept up beautifully. We covered most of the new trails including a trek down to the old homestead off park property.

We welcomed Liz to the AOC! She was on just her second AOC event, and her first hike with the club. Hopefully, Liz will become a regular on our hikes.

Lee took a bunch of great photos which have been added to the album. He got a couple of great shots of Joro spiders, which are difficult to capture when they're in their webs. ~ Joyce
