The Odum Scout turned out to be a nice trail..... once we got on the correct path.   You start out on a short 'trail' called high falls.   It takes a steep hock climb with man made stairs with awesome views of a decent water falls and pools.  Once tackling the climb, you'll run into a trail at a "T" for the odum scout.  The sign points both north and south for the Odum Scout.... The trail heads north but if you head right (north) at the sign you'll run out of trail after a half mile and will have to do a little off trail hiking to the west up a ridge to reconnect the real trail.    You really need to counter intuitively go south(left) at the Odum Scout trail sign which loops around and goes north.

With that said, along the trail there are some awesome rocky overlooks to the west.  We stopped to a cold windy lunch a one of these outcrops and then proceded on to camp.   After setting up camp, we quickly scoured for firewood and got the fire started as soon as humanly possible becuase temps were dropping quickly.   What a great group to sit with around the camp fire.   After surviving the sub-20 degree night, we packed up in the morning headed back out.   Overall, a great trip for all.
