Write Up:
The weather was fantastic for a late May in Atlanta. We got started along the outer trail of Lullwater Park that runs next to the Clifton School. Turning left midway through this trail we headed toward Candler lake, a little waterfall and Peachtree Creek. Hiking along Peachtree Creek for about a mile we came upon Hahn Woods.

Hahn Woods is an oasis in the urban landscape. It has a large trees, full forest canopy, babling brook, and a think blanket of ferns and ivys on the ground. Truely spectacular for inside the Atlanta metropolis! After circling Hahn Woods, we crossed over Peachtree Creek via a street bridge and made our way back to Lullwater along the opposite side of Peachtreee Creek.

After circling around the woods on this side of Pearchtree Creeek we crossed a suspension bridge. It swayed a bit but held 12 hikers very well. We then headed up a paved trail/drive to Emory Univeristy Presidents Mansion. This very impressive cottage style house made of mostly stone was the highlight of the hike. We made our way back to the parking lot through some foot trails in the park hills. Everyone agreed this was a spectacular spot in the urban Atlanta area.
