Write Up: We had a very good hike up the Wayah Bald and back even though an approaching thunderstorm forced us to cut the hike to Siler Bald short. The clouds and breeze kept the temperatures in the 70s for the whole hike. Having to pull out rain gear for one short burst of rain was a small price to pay for the cool weather. After the hike we enjoyed an early dinner in Clayton.
