We arrived Friday afternoon to set up camp and got in a short (5 mile?) ride on the Bartram trail, located right at Petersburg Campground.   On Saturday morning, after a good overnight rain, and a group breakfast, we drove the 25 minutes to the trailhead.   It was in the mid 50's and cloudy, so we kept the breaks on the trail short, in order to stay warm.   We rode about 18 miles on 3 loops, saving only 1 loop in the southern portion of the trail system, Great Wall, for Sunday.   The whoop-de-doos were the theme of the day, like a roller coaster ride that goes on and on!

After a potluck style meal Saturday, and a warm campfire, we had a nice and DRY nights sleep, awakening to another cool though sunny day.    I rode the 8 miles Great Wall loop.   Most everyone else also rode the north loops.

Overall, I think everyone would agree these are memorable trails and well worth the 3 hour drive, plus hauling the camping equipment for the obligatory 2 days of riding.   Hope to be back in the spring!
