Thank you to everyone that participated in the Road Biking Basics 101 at Stone Mountain Park.  We had a great group with different riding levels.   We started our trip at Confederate Hall where two great bike techs, Katy and Chuck gave us an informative overview on road biking.  We talked about gear shifting; tire pressure, biker etiquette as well as many other things.  After about a 45 minute question and answer session we set forth to do the first lap around Stone Mountain park.  It was about a 5 mile stretch with hills, flat roads, and down hills.  We all did great and really push through the first lap with the help of our bike techs.   After the first lap we talked about how we did and what we wanted to work on.  We then proceeded to complete the second lap around which brought us to 10 miles in total distance.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the event and wanted to participate in a similar events in the future.  A few of us headed to the German Bakery next to Stone Mountain for dinner and had a great time talking about what we learned.   Road Biking 101 was a great success.   Thank you again!  Ashley W & Laura V
