Write Up:
For all thos that were not able to make the Siler bald trip, we had a great time. We got on the trail at 9:20pm and started off hiking by the fullmoon. Then once in the woods it got to dark so we had to turn on our lights. On the way up we heard a husselling in the woods in front of us, which we believe was a bear. once we got to campsite around 11:30pm we setup camp. and we all were fast asleep. In the morning larry climbed to the top of siler bald for sunrise and meet a couple and their dog. The rest of us got up around 8:30am had a bite to eat and set off for wayah bald. It was great weather for hiking up to wayah bald. We stop a long the way for a snack and once we got to yawah we had lunch and enjoyed the surounding mountain veiws. After relaxing and throwing the frisbee we started to make our way back to camp for dinner and to watch the sunset from atop siler bald. After dinner kim, larry and pepper (dog) turned in early to their own tents. the rest of us talked for a while longer. We were all so tired that we did not even have a fire. Sunday morning I woke up just in time to ascend th bald on last time for sunrise and to have some time for myself and to take pictures. everyone else woke up around 8am and broke camp and heaed for the shelter to replinish on water and to have a bite to eat. At around 10am we started our hike down the mountain. We got back to the cars around noon and headed to town for lunch and back to the ATL.
