Today I was reminded of why I truly enjoy being a Trip Leader. My "beginners welcome" hike brought out a good mix of folks including beginner/novice hikers. It was awesome to see them so enthusiastic about hiking. I've started to become wrapped up in the fast paced and long distance fitness hikes but today it was very nice to slow down and take in all of the sights. It was also extremely rewarding to know the "beginners welcome" hike brought folks out today who are just beginning their journey with the outdoors, getting back in to shape or just don't care to go at a really fast pace but still want to reach the top of the mountain. Thank you for that, AOC. We were all beginners once.
