Write Up:
What appeared to be a rainy/drizzly day turned out to be a spectacular day full of flowers, poison ivy, great views, smiling faces, waterfalls and sunshine.  We started out on the Shirley Miller Wildflower trail which included walking on boardwalks through the forest of flowers.  Most of the flowers had already blossomed but we still had the opportunity to spot the various types of yellow, white and purple flowers along the way.  We then hiked up the less traveled trail known as The Pocket Loop Trail.  This trail led us to some amazing overlooks.  Our group ventured out along the rocks to take a group photo at one of the larger overlooks.  After the hike we all indulged in some wonderful food at Twins Pizza and Steak in the small town of LaFayette.

Thank you everyone for a wonderful hike and a special welcome to Eddie for his first event with us.

Please see the photo album for the group photo courtesy of John Christopher.
