What a fun-packed day the sixteen of us had at Lake Lanier Islands for our Five-Fer celebration (5 activities on August 5th).  We started the morning with stand-up paddle boarding and enjoyed paddling around the cove while the temperature was still relatively comfortable and the boat traffic was minimal. Then the group split, with some hanging around the lake to swim while the rest of us hiked about 5 miles on the Blue Ridge Extreme Trail.  Lunch at the Sunset Cove was next on the menu :-), where we enjoyed some delicious food and great company. The group then played putt-putt golf for a short time before heading to the zip-lining venue for our last event.  Zip lining was a big stretch for some, especially those of us who were nervous about heights. We got harnessed up, did some training, and then tackled 7 of the most challenging zip lines on the island.  

We all had a wonderful day, and appreciate Lauren's work in organizing the day's event!
