We could not have asked for a better day.  The very first day of Autumn, sunny and  warm – not hot, a nice breeze. Just perfect. And what a nice group of hikers we had, some who just recently joint the AOC, but mostly though “old hands” - or would it be better to call them “old feet” because they are hikers?  :)  Nay. That does not sound good.

Some of us shared a meal at the restaurant “Old Heidelberg” after the hike. Good food.  Fun conversations.  Also interesting to learn what our members do when they don’t hike. We had, for example, an expert in invisible ink, a virus hunter,  a PowerPoint teacher, a speech-fixer … just to name a few.
