We had an absolutely beautiful day hiking Blood Mountain. The trails were very crowded with people out leaf viewing. We had originally planned to hike from the Byron Reece Trailhead but the parking lot filled up early this morning and we couldn't find any spots. So we ended up hiking from Lake Winfield Scott up the Slaughter Creek Trail to the AT. We enjoyed lunch at the top of Blood Mountain and then returned the way we came.
