Our group of 12 had a fantastic evening of fun and laughter as we prepared for the celestial light show. With chairs, thermarests, sleeping bags, and snuggies in hand we settled down underneath a sky filled with planets, stars, and a clearly defined Milky Way. Several meteors appeared and streaked across the cloudless canopy creating brilliant trails as they ignited in the atmosphere. A handful of star gazers stayed throughout the night, braving chilly temperatures and breezy wind gusts, but were rewarded with a magnificent sunrise the next morning. Juan and Lisa joined me for a morning hike to catch the spectacular views atop the highest peak. We marveled as the sunshine softly illuminated the cloud covered valleys below revealing brilliant fall colors and awakening the song birds. I'm already looking forward to the next M.S.V.P. event!
