Write Up:

What a beautiful blue sky sun shiny day with crystal clear air and views... It was a little on the cold side starting out at 23 degrees, but we were all layered up and were actually pretty comfy as soon as we got moving.  The sun warmed us and layers came off on the first climb.   But just a lovely day to be out there and we climbed Blood Mtn and the air was so clear that we could see the Smokies and Clingmans Dome to the north and the ATL skyline to the South.  Then over to Slaughter Mtn where we had some nice golden light and shadows across the landscape to enjoy.  We made it back to the cars right around sunset, so great to make the most of the day...hope to do this one again before long.
