Write Up:Hoping for a warm spring day, three dogs and eight outdoor badasses braved temperatures in the 30’s and a less-than-stellar precipitation forecast over four and a half miles of moutain trails just so we could say we did it. We were serinaded by a pretty good twangy folk singer at the summit and made friends with some scouts while up there eating our lunches. The dogs were all friendly and we kept the pace up to stay warm. We got a few snow flurries, but the sky held off on the rain for us. I think everyone left feeling glad they stuck out the cold weather. Speaking for myself, I know I’m looking forward to a replay this summer with a swim in Lake Allatoona afterwards.
