     A great evening of hiking with five AOC friends at Sweetwater should always include at least one snake sighting! I wanted to bring him along with us but Lauren was adamant if Mr. Snake didn’t sign up for the hike he was not allowed to come along.  Still the recent rains made the high level of Sweetwater creek quite lovely - I also learned that by simply falling completely down on my way for a group shot gets everyone to smile!

he he - this is Lauren. As John's co-lead, I have access to write here too. The real story behind the snake is: It was HUGE and John kept egging it on. I told him if he made it mad and it started coming after us that our event was going to turn from a 'hike' to a 'trail run' and I would see him back at the cars.  :)
