AOCers braved a horrible and incorrect weather forecast to paddle with 60 other river lovers.  We gathered at the put-in and after a very brief drizzle, we hit the water.  The river flowed fast yet silently, surprising many after all of the rain we experienced the previous weeks.

TLs Paula, Bobby and Patrick helped the group get on the water and on down the river with assistance from other TLs on the trip.  With a big group we did not encounter much wildlife but we did enjoy seeing parts of Atlanta we normally drive by without giving it much thought.  We passed several points of interest, such as Six Flags, Sweet Water Creek, I285 and I20.

Our lunch stop enable everyone to stretch their legs and check out others' boats, paddles and  gear.  We finished the paddle hours early due to the CFM.
