All the spiders, one of the snakes, a “fleet of hoof” doe, hungry catfish (and turtles), lovely trails, inspiring waterfalls, rain swollen creeks  and so much more awaited us today on the trails of Cochran Mill.  Garth joined us for his first AOC hike, while for Scott it was his second, and Linda rounded out our trio of newcomers with her 3rd AOC hike.  It is always so exciting to see new faces!  What a great way to celebrate completing my first year with the Atlanta Outdoor Club!  Special thanks to Melissa who was the trip leader at Cochran Mill on my first AOC hike and joined me today.  Thanks also to Joyce for the wonderful poster she made me – 1912 was a great year for hiking wasn’t it? ;-)

As a finale, most of us headed over to the Blue Eyed Daisy for an after hike lunch of tasty sandwiches, a couple of cupcakes and a massive Cinnamon Cupcake that was shared with 4 hungry happy hikers!
