Write Up:

Torreya State park has a great 2 loop trais, the first takes you down the bluff into the flood rim and along the river. It also intersects the Gregory House which is an old historic home from the 1800's. The trail is home to the site of a Confederate artillery battery built during the Civil War. The trails are moderate with alot of uphills. The terrain varies, taking you through magnolia, torrea yew and oak forrest and thru a grass field among longleaf pines. Both loops if done together are about 14 miles. Unfortunately do to the rain this event was cut short, so the Garden of Eden trail was never explored.
