It is indescribably exciting when everything comes together for a wonderful hike.  The gloomy, rainy weather on Saturday and Sunday gave way to bright sunshine after our hike was underway.  No rain, no wind, no anything but gorgeous skies and cool temperatures.  We were all most anxious to get out for a hike, and we were certainly not disappointed.  Making the event extra special was the addition of some of the younger generation - - Sunae's daughters (Vicky and Cindy)  and Joyce's son (Damon).  Although there were a few shallow puddles along the way, as promised the leaves prevented the trails from becoming muddy - - so with waterproof boots to keep socks dry, hiking conditions were great.  Changing the hike from East Palisades to Sope Creek was a good decision.

We were happy to have a couple of relative newcomers to the AOC with us - - Ramesh and Rodney.  They fit in well and were comfortable to talk with.

Divya, Joyce, and Michael sported their handmade (by Divya) caps.  Word is spreading, and Divya is doing her best to quickly fill the orders she's getting! ~ Joyce
