     Blue skies, smiling at me… nothing but blue skies do I see.  That Irving Berlin song could so describe our wonderful, windy and chilly journey to the top of Rabun Bald.  Chad led Jenelle, Richard, Sharon, Mark, Nelson, Joe and this Happy Hiker up to the stone observation tower that straddles the top of Rabun Bald.  This is an incredible trek that includes a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.  This delightfully challenging hike that should be on everyone’s bucket list of North Georgia destinations – and it’s even better when spending it with the relaxed friends of the Atlanta Outdoor Club.
