Write Up:

The weather this morning was over cast, in the 30’s,gusty and everyone was nippy waiting for the hike to start.  So preciously at 9:30 am we hit the trails at a moderate pace to warm up.  We made a brief stop at the first permanent Wayside Plaque honoring former US Congressman Elliot Levitas who sponsored the legislation in the 1980’s to preserve the CRNRA. He has been nicknamed the “Champion of the Chattahoochee”.

We then went up a nice steep hill and back into the woods. We worked our way to and around the Lollipop trail and then back to the parking lot.  Total of about 6 miles.
